우리가 세상을 객관적으로 본다고 믿고, 우리와 동의하지 않는 사람은 분명 정보가 없거나, 비이성적이거나, 편향을 가졌다고 생각하는 경향

예) 학생들에게 다트머스와 프린스턴 대학의 축구 경기를 보여주었는데, 어느 쪽의 팬인지에 따라서 다른 쪽 팀이 더 많은 반칙을 했다고 인식함. 그럼에도 학생들은 객관적으로 봤다고 믿음.
